Upon returning he found his property in rubble, only a chimney and fragments of roof tiles remained. “It’s emotional,” Gibson reflected on the loss. ‘You lived there for a long time and you had all your stuff.'” He said he was thankful that his family and loved ones were unharmed, despite the devastation.
“These are just things at the end of the day,” he said. Even celebrities aren’t safe from the unselective nature of the fires, the tragedy underlines.
Anthony Hopkins
Anthony Hopkins, the esteemed 87-year-old actor, tragically lost his Pacific Palisades residence to the recent Los Angeles wildfires. The $6 million property, which he acquired in 2021, was completely destroyed by the flames. At the time of the disaster, Hopkins was in the United Kingdom and did not need to evacuate. In response to the loss, Hopkins shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, stating, “The only thing we take with us is the love we give.”

Renowned songwriter Diane Warren, known for penning hits like “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” lost her Malibu beach house of nearly 30 years to the recent Los Angeles wildfires.
