Kanye West has once again left the world stunned after delivering a cryptic and chaotic outburst during a livestream, a moment now being dissected across social media, news outlets, and fan forums alike.
The rapper, known for blending performance and provocation, appeared in his usual avant garde attire: an all black ensemble paired with a full face covering mask.
The livestream began with West voicing frustrations over his ongoing custody issues with ex wife Kim Kardashian, whom he divorced in 2022 after nearly a decade together.
“I’m not here to be your idol, I’m the leader,” he said during the stream. “How am I supposed to lead y’all if I don’t get my kids with me to continue what we are doing?”
The couple, who share four children North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5, have had a turbulent post divorce co parenting relationship.
West’s recent social media behavior has led Kardashian to reportedly increase her personal security, instructing friends and family not to share any details about her children’s whereabouts online.
Still, it wasn’t the parenting rant that sent shockwaves across the internet it was what followed next.
Toward the end of the two minute tirade, Kanye uttered a phrase that triggered a storm of confusion and speculation.
“I ain’t got no motherf***** legacy,” he shouted. Then, in what many believe was either a slip or a revelation, he added,
“I’m g*y. I’m in charge of my legacy, and I’m g*y.”
Fans immediately took to Reddit and X (formerly Twitter), slowing down the audio and debating whether he actually said “I’m g*y” or simply repeated “I’m Ye.” With no clarification from West himself, the theories exploded.
But that wasn’t the only fuel to the fire.
Just days before the livestream, West teased a new track titled COUSINS, sharing disturbing details from his childhood and an alleged incident involving his male cousin.
“My name is Ye and I sucked my cousin’s d*** till I was 14,” he wrote in a since deleted post, sparking outrage and concern.
In the same thread, Kanye added a rainbow emoji followed by, “This is my new logo,” leading many to believe he was coming out before he quickly backtracked, stating he wasn’t actually g*y.
This pattern of revealing shocking details only to contradict them moments later has become typical of the controversial artist.
Whether it’s his declaration about wishing he had children with Paris Hilton instead of Kim Kardashian or his previous posts supporting antisemitic imagery, West continues to blur the line between confession, satire, and calculated chaos.
